| Hello and welcome to my site. As you may have already realised, this is a gaming site and is still very new at the moment. For this site to really become useful it will need a strong community. Firstly we have a very good Forum and it has two categories. The first one is the General Discussion forum which is for talking about everything related to this site. The second one is the Off-Topic forum which is for discussing everything that is not related to this site. Secondly we have a Game Reviews section which you should check out if you are about to buy a game. Our reviewers are all gamers themselves and all reviews are double checked for errors. Also we have a Game Walkthroughs section which generally has a walkthrough for every game that we review. | |

So, since now we have a previews section here is some useful info:
when you write a preview you can take info from many different sites...you will usually find the expected release date, some gameplay info, videos etc. If you heard some rumors, don't post it on the preview..make sure your info is correct and can be verified. Always link a video, preferrably in HD and from YouTube. No personal opinions on the preview, like "l think this game's gonna rock!" stuff. You also must post an expected score ffor this game based on this info you have right now, for example how do the graphics look, how to do think the game will play etcetera. If there is a demo post a mini-review of it inside the preview and always provide a link or some info on where can someone download it. Well, that's pretty much it, have fun writing previews :) |

So, HappyYeti asked me to post a "how to write reviews" thread, so here it is.
PLEASE read this before writing a review to avoid the deletion of your review. SO, first of all, decide which game will you write a review about. If the game is really old and hasn't been updated in a long time you'd best just NOT write the review. If, however, it is a multiplayer game that gets lots of regular updates then you can write a review, but it must state that the game has been updated, and rate the game based on its current form, not on how it was when it was launched. OK, one last note about the game type: if the game is available for multiple platforms, you can put different ratings for each platform, but the review must be the same, even if you have to mention something about a specific console (check my Prototype review and you'll get my point). By the way, you have to link your review to every section. If you review a PC game, for example, you must link it in the PC gaming section AND the reviews section under PC gaming. OK, now that the technical stuff is out of the way, the most important thing follows: objectivity. You can express your personal opinions of course but you can't rate a game really low just because "you don't like this kind of game", know what I mean? As for the style, you can be serious or humourous, just never exaggerate. Give a rating out of 10 for the graphics (how the game looks, the texture and model quality, but also the sound quality), the gameplay (playablility, user-friendliness, replay value) and a general rating. NOTE: you don't have to put a rating that is halfway through the graphics and gameplay ratings! This means that if the game gets a 10/10 for graphics and a 0/10 for gameplay, a 5/10 is not obligatory! Also, use the damn spelling checker! You must check your review

We all know it's coming so lets get this out of the way. First off, to begin, i think all 10 current users (yes all 10, LOL) should be mods. Only HappyYeti should be administraitor, so he can control modship. This way, we have plenty of mods to handle site traffic (I.E. validating accounts for review privileges, banning, etc.) for a while, and can still function fine should some ******* have to lose his modship.
